New York EATS and TREATS

From Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies, to the best Margarita in town take a look at my favorite noms.

Whether you’ve been to New York City more times than you can count or you’re planning your first trip these are a few stops that were a must for a good New York Eats experience!

BLOCKHEADS - EAST VILLAGE, UPPER WEST SIDE, MIDTOWN

This easy flow Mexican restaurant located in East Village, Midtown and the Upper West Side is on the list for some good ole MARGS. Cold, frozen margaritas that will have you feeling right with just a few sips. There are also a wide variety of quesadillas, burritos, nachos and tacos with beef, chicken, fish and even tofu or tempeh for my fellow Veggies out there!

“BODEGA BREAKFAST”- ANYWHERE

You can pretty much find a bodega shop at every corner especially when you are in the city. A quick breakfast was a must on our way to the museum one day and we found one right on the corner of Third Ave. in the Upper East Side. As pictured above we treated ourselves to fresh everything bagel sandwiches with egg and cheese before catching our Uber. The perfect on the go breakfast! Warm fluffy bagels, melty cheese and real egg product, what more could you want?

LEVAINS BAKERY - UPPER EAST SIDE, HARLEM, AMSTERDAM AVE. & WEST 74TH

This has to be the end all be all. Levains has the best chocolate cookies i’ve ever had. PERIODT. Their cookies run for $4 each and come in flavors of chocolate chip walnut, dark chocolate chocolate chip, dark chocolate peanut butter chip and oatmeal raisin. If I could explain it I would just say it’s an ooey gooey experience. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly and expedient. The smell of fresh cookies dance with your nose and you receive your cookie (or 4) warm. I dare you to try to make it out the store without tasting it. It’s impossible! I wish I bought a few more to bring home but I think it was best for everyone that I didn’t! If you are in the area, stop by and enjoy the goodness for your girl!

CHURUTTO RAMEN & POKE - UPPER EAST SIDE

Winter is coming…. and its time for RAMEN. Churutto is the perfect pick me up soup. I ordered the veggie ramen spicy and I added a good ole boiled egg. The spice level was 7/10 (enough where you can’t quite taste all the spice yet your nose keeps running) and the soup itself was filling with fresh noodles and vegetables. A def recommendation.

 ARTICHOKE PIZZA- CHELSEA, EAST VILLAGE

Great for late late night bites. Huge Instagram worth slices with a few selections of pizza toppings. The actual artichoke pizza itself was very rich, imagine dunking garlic bread into very rich alfredo sauce for every bite. I could only handle a couple bites, however the margarita pizza was the right fit for me. The perfect red sauce to cheese ratio with a medium/thin dough didn’t overpower the toppings. Yes please.

THE NUGGET SPOT- E 14TH STREET

I solely went there due their drool worthy IG page @thenuggetspot and WIDE selection of vegan nuggs. This trendy little shop has some of the best regular and vegetarian friendly (seitan) nuggets with the best sauces: Mozzarella, Sriracha, Cajun and Cheese n Chong to name some flavors. I tried the Buffalo and Two Tswag (Sweet Chili) nuggets which were both crunchy, all perfectly sauced and downright tasty. The walls are covered with pop stars, icons and framed comic books. Its a good place to grab a bite to eat while also feeling apart of hipster New York.

MILK BAR- TOO MANY LOCATIONS TO NAME

This small little gem also was pre-planned due to their color-popping IG @milkbarstore. We dined in rich chocolate cake pops and chocolate chip marshmallow cookies. (I have a sweet tooth if you haven’t been able to tell yet.) If your looking for something even bigger they have full cakes and multipack cookies to take home or hey eat for yourself, no judgment here.
